About Us
About NURSES NOOK
NURSES NOOK is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting nurses, healthcare professionals, and the communities they serve. Based in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, we were established to address the growing need for nursing support and community health resources in our region.
Our Story
NURSES NOOK was founded by a group of passionate nurses and healthcare advocates who recognized the critical need for comprehensive support systems for nursing professionals in Wisconsin. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of nursing practice, including limited access to continuing education, insufficient mentorship opportunities, and the emotional toll of providing care in under-resourced settings, our founders were determined to create an organization that would address these gaps.
What began as informal gatherings and peer support sessions among local nurses has grown into a formal nonprofit organization serving healthcare professionals and communities throughout Oconto County and beyond. Our growth reflects both the increasing need for nursing support services and the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and partners.
Today, NURSES NOOK operates multiple programs designed to support nurses at every career stage while bringing essential health services to underserved communities. We are proud to be a trusted resource for Wisconsin nurses and a valued partner in community health.
